About Me

Hello! My name is Nic Jansma and I am a software developer working in Redmond, WA. I was born in Grand Rapids, MI and attended the University of Michigan for my BSE in Computer Science. In my spare time I run several websites, enjoy gaming (computer, console and board), dabble in photography, love the outdoors, participate in motorsports and love hanging out with my friends.

I work at Microsoft on the Windows Client Performance Team, where we just shipped Windows Vista and are continuing work on the next version of Windows. My responsibilities include developing, running and maintaining a daily performance regression test infrastructure that is used to find performance regressions in new code that is going into Windows. Additionally, I help investigate Windows performance problems. Basically, our team makes Windows go faster. :) If you have any comments or questions about Windows, feel free to contact me.
