Erica and I arrived back in Kirkland last Friday, after 9 days on the road. Our trip from Grand Rapids, MI to Kirkland, WA was 55 hours of driving, over 3000 miles. We averaged 33.7 MPG in her Mazda 3, and spent $328.55 on gas (lowest price: $3.409 in Hill City, SD - highest price: $3.819 in Ellensburg, WA).

It's great to be back in the Seattle area, and we're settling in. We took 2,407 pictures on the trip, and I think we got some great shots. I'll be posting some of our favorites to the website soon.

I'm flying out tomorrow to pick up Erica from Ann Arbor, drop off some of her things at our parents' houses, then we start an 8-day road trip across the country to move her to Seattle!

We have quite a trip planned, visiting a plethora of places: the badlands, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Deadwood (SD), and a three-day stay in Yellowstone. We'll also stop by the only things I could find on the map in Iowa (the Corn Palace) and around the badlands (Wall Drug).
