Windows Vista and Office 2007 shipped!
Yesterday Microsoft officially released Windows Vista and Office 2007. I'm proud of the product and the work that my team and I have done to ship it. Office 2007 is also really sharp looking -- the UI is different, but now that I'm used to it I won't go back to Office 2003.
I noticed something cool about Bill Gate's Keynote Speech during the release party for Vista. Check out about 30:00m in:
See the second line? "60 years performance testing" -- that's me! In fact, that's the number I calculated and gave to my PM (project manager) in October when he was asking for stats on the Client Performance Gates. That's how many man-years of performance testing we did for Vista (and we're now at 63 man-years total including Service Pack 1 testing). I guess the big-wigs liked it and it ended up in Bill's speech. Cool!
