Vista news, Channel9 interview with my boss

(Cool Microsoft Stuff will resume shortly)

The New York Times has an article about Vista's 'shiproom', a twice-daily meeting of the release managers of Windows, and the rest of the bug-hunting progress that's going on in Windows right now. Vista has made a lot of progress in the last few weeks, and everything appears on track. I took a look at the numbers, and our Client Perf Gates alone have done over 60 man-years of testing in the last 12 months. Phew!

Next, my boss Mike was interviewed on Channel9, which is a MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) blog with video interviews. Mike talks about SuperFetch (Vista's new smart memory management system), defragging, flash drives, and other important issues the Windows Client Performance Team has been working on for Vista:

TIME Magazine also has an article about some of the new features of Vista.
